Meet us at the trailhead: Bear Jaw Trail In-Person

Join us as we hike 2-3 miles along the Bear Jaw Trail. This will be a good hike to view wildflowers, Basque tree carvings, and possibly some early mushrooms.

What you'll need: transportation to and from the trailhead, water, snacks, sun protection, and shoes for hiking. Please no dogs on this adventure.

How to get there: take Highway 180 towards the Grand Canyon. About 19 miles from Flagstaff, turn right on FR 151, which is just past mile marker 235. After going 1.6 miles on this flat, graded dirt road, turn left on FR 418. After driving 3.1 miles on FR 418, turn right onto FR 9123J (there is a sign here for the trailhead). Go another 0.6 miles to the trailhead. There are short stretches of road on both FR 418 and FR 9123J that are a bit rough and you might want to take a vehicle with good clearance. We’ll meet you there!

Please note that this program will be canceled if the forest is closed to public access. Last minute notices will be sent via remind text - text @efclad to 81010 to join. Standard messaging rates apply, must be 13+ to join.
