Exploring the Art of Alexander Calder In-Person

Explore the work of great artists with us on the 1st Tuesday of every month. This month's artist is Alexander Calder.

Calder (1898–1976), one of the most important American sculptors of the 20th century, is known for his colorful, abstract sculptures and his innovative mobiles and kinetic sculptures. We will provide a history and view a broad range of creations by this prolific artist. Calder's work is in many permanent collections - Whitney Museum of American Art, Guggenheim Museum; the Museum of Modern Art; National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.; and others. He produced many large public works. His creativity and originality are remarkable!

This program will be held in-person in the Downtown Library Community Room and virtually on Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81071700032
