LGBT+ Virtual Book Club
Ages 12+ are welcome* *Please note that some books are written for a slightly older audience
Join us to unite Flagstaff's LGBT+ community by discussing a multi-generational book! Teen & adult participants will be encouraged to engage with one another, opening up possibilities of mentorship between the generations. Conversations will be facilitated, leading participants to their own answers while gaining diverse insights.
We are pleased to be offering this program in partnership with several supportive community organizations whose logos will be featured next to their book selection!
The book The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky is recommended for ages 12+. Follows the observant “wallflower” Charlie as he charts a course through the strange world between adolescence and adulthood. Devastating loss, young love, and life on the fringes. Caught between trying to live his life and trying to run from it, Charlie must learn to navigate those wild and poignant roller-coaster days known as growing up.
Books are available by library check-out, digital e-book, digital audiobook, AND bookclub lending. Looking for a copy? Call 928-213-2348 to request it to be set aside OR visit the East Flagstaff Community Library and ask for a copy at the desk.
Book club meetings will be over Zoom, until further notice.
