This edition of The Written World will feature a workshop with Jodie Hollander: Telling our Stories Through Poetry! Humans have always been attracted to the art of storytelling. One could say that our lives are composed of stories. We will look at story as art, and learn how to effectively channel our experiences into powerful poetry. We'll discuss examples of celebrated poems, and discuss techniques for crafting good poetry. Then, through a series of prompts, we'll examine our own narratives and turn them into poems. Everyone interested in poetry and story telling is welcome. No experience is necessary.
