Banned Book Club: Maus In-Person
Celebrate the freedom to read with the Banned Book Club. As part of the Summer Reading Challenge's art theme, we're reading Art Spiegelman. We will discuss not only the book itself, but also the concepts of free speech and censorship as we encounter them in the modern world.
Synopsis
Maus recounts the chilling experiences of the author’s father during the Holocaust, with Jews drawn as wide-eyed mice and Nazis as menacing cats.
