SUMMARY:Let's Talk About the Rest of the First Amendment
DESCRIPTION:Participate in free and open discussions of important civil
matters the first week of each month. In July\, we'll discuss the freedom
of religion\, the press\, assembly\, and petition.\n\nWhile we often hear
about the importance of free speech\, the First Amendment to the
Constitution guarantees four other freedoms to the American people: the
free exercise of religion\, freedom of the press\, the right to peaceably
assemble\, and the right to petition the Government.\n\nWhy are these
freedoms important? What happens when they are infringed upon? Are there
limits of these rights? Join us in a lively discussion about the First
Amendment!\n\n\nThis program is part if our civic dialogue series\, which
includes the Banned Book Club and Let's Talk About It. Programs
include:\n\n\n\n\n	May 7th: Banned Book Club: Animal Farm - Censorshp\,
revolution and the road to totalitarianism\n	June 6th: Let's Talk About
Free Speech - What exactly is the freedom to speak?\n	July 2nd: Let's Talk
about the Rest of the First - Freedom of religion\, press\, assembly\, and
petition\n	August 6th: Banned Book Club: The Outsiders - Censorship\,
