Community Living Room - Delia Muñoz In-Person

A free monthly program at the Downtown Library featuring an interesting local individual, group, or organization with something to share!

October's guest is Delia Muñoz!

Delia is a lifelong Flagstaffian (so are her parents!) who grew up on the corner of Verde and Dupont in the Southside playing baseball with the boys, traipsing around in the "ditch" (Rio de Flag), and sledding on the rubble of a burned-down house. She also took part in activities at the Murdoch Center, and, happily, discrimination against Hispanics was unknown to her. As an adult she worked for NAU Cline Library doing oral histories with members of the Hispanic community and is the co-founder and immediate past president of Flagstaff Nuestras Raíces, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting Hispanic culture and history through events, gatherings, and the performing and visual arts.

Come hear the history of our town as witnessed through the eyes of this vibrant, community-loving local whose passion for her culture and her town is a joy to behold!
